Mark Levin’s take on the second Presidential debate.
Last night Mark Levin’s initial response on the the second Presidential debate was a succinct tweet:
Romney was solid again. Obama’s aggressiveness won’t change a thing. He cannot run from his record, which Romney pounded consistently.
— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) October 17, 2012
Then this morning, Levin reacted to Charles Krauthammer’s view that Obama won the debate on points via a facebook note:
Charles Krauthammer and his followers today are wrong.
Charles Krauthammer and his followers today are wrong. Obama did not win the debate on points or edge out Romney. Based on what?Obama could not defend his awful record, which Romney repeatedly hammered. In fact, Obama lied about his supposed role in increasing oil and gas production. He lied about creating jobs. He lied about Romney’s position on women’s access to health care. Does that give Obama the edge?
Obama sounded like a fool on the terrorist attack on Libya. Candy Crowley tried to rescue him with her own dishonest statement and intervention. But Romney nailed Obama. In fact, Obama’s false assertion and Crowley’s abuse of her role are the big topics of discussion this morning.
And Obama was often angry and disregarded the rules and the clock.
So, on what basis did Obama edge out Romney? This debate changes nothing and Obama is stuck with his record.
Again this morning, Levin comments on the audience members and questions-via Mark Levin’s facebook page:
Last night’s debate audience was filled with liberals posing as undecided voters. Not all but many. How was Romney different from Bush? How about – how was Obama different from Carter?
There is so much to be said about this debate, and the media is busy calling each exchange for or against each candidate. What I know is, the American people are intelligent, and it was clear Romney was full of facts, percentages, and explanations. Obama was, as usual, just full of it.

MARK LEVIN: We conservatives, we do not accept bipartisanship in the pursuit of tyranny. Period. We will not negotiate the terms of our economic and political servitude. Period. We will not abandon our child to a dark and bleak future. We will not accept a fate that is alien to the legacy we inherited from every single future generation in this country. We will not accept social engineering by politicians and bureaucrats who treat us like lab rats, rather than self-sufficient human beings. There are those in this country who choose tyranny over liberty. They do not speak for us, 57 million of us who voted against this yesterday, and they do not get to dictate to us under our Constitution.
We are the alternative. We will resist. We're not going to surrender to this. We will not be passive, we will not be compliant in our demise. We're not good losers, you better believe we're sore losers! A good loser is a loser forever. Now I hear we're called 'purists.' Conservatives are called purists. The very people who keep nominating moderates, now call us purists the way the left calls us purists. Yeah, things like liberty, and property rights, individual sovereignty, and the Constitution, and capitalism. We're purists now. And we have to hear this crap from conservatives, or pseudo-conservatives, Republicans.

I don't deny that global warming exists. It does not exist. There is not a pink elephant in my kitchen. I'm not denying it. It is not there. If I denied that there was a pink elephant in my kitchen, it would have to be there, but I would be lying to myself and everyone and walk around it to cook. But it is not there, therefore, I am not denying that it is.

Snyder pushes to extend Medicaid to 470,000 Michiganders -- 'care for people who need it'
Snyder said Wednesday that he unconditionally supports expanding the state's Medicaid rolls by roughly 470,000 people. There are 1.9 million people receiving benefits now.
"We're all here to support expanding Medicaid," Snyder said at a news conference called by a large coalition of groups that support the expansion. "We're moving forward with care for people who need it."
Editorial: Snyder does right and healthy thing by backing Medicaid expansion
The ever-illogical argument that insuring more people will actually cost less. "But health care providers and advocates for the uninsured argue that the state will actually save money -- as much as $1 billion in the first decade -- if fewer residents have to rely on expensive emergency room facilities to address non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries."
Susan J. Demas: Will Tea Party Republicans fight Rick Snyder on expanding Medicaid under Obamacare?
Susan Dumass is really quite pedestrian. "The only thing standing in between 450,000 low-income Michiganders and health insurance is Tea Party Republicans' deep-seated hatred of Obamacare."
Snyder's big budget plan seeks hikes in gas tax, vehicle registration fees, more
In a switch, GOP governors back expanding Medicaid
This week, Michigan’s Rick Snyder became the sixth GOP governor to propose expanding his state’s health insurance program to cover more low-income residents, in line with the Democratic administration’s strong recommendation.
'Obamacare,' distrust of federal government heat up debate over Medicaid expansion in Michigan
Now that he's made the decision, Snyder must sell the plan to the state legislature, where some members of his own party have repeatedly attempted to distance themselves from the faintest whiff of "Obamacare."
- I can find neither solace or comfort in government. I cannot find hope nor light among those pretending to take my best interest to heart. I cannot worship or revere another human being because there are none alive that can instill my faith. Give me the One God; the One Who had created the heavens and earth and had purposefully breathed life into me. The One Who dwells in the secret place and watches over me and always keeps me company when all others abandoned me. But for Him I would have no purpose in this life; thank you Dear God.

I agree Jen.
With everything that has gone on over the last 4 years, an Obama spin just won't work. The audience in the debate is irrelevant. The audience in America matters. Obama can lie all he wants, but think of all the unemployed, the coal miners, the oil and gas producers, women out of work and the college students stuck in mom and dads basement. They were watching too. All the B.S. in the world won't change their situation. I believe the jury was out on this election 2 years ago.
yes, you are right.
After watching and listening to Thomas Friedman on the O'Riellly Factor this evening I thought my brain was about to explode.
Friedman, Krauthammer and O'Riellly remind me of the famous Mark Twain quote where he wrote: "When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years." Stated a different way I think most of Levin's dedicated listeners could also state that: "I was amazed at how intelligent these people seemed to be before I listened to Mark Levin. Now after several years of listening, I am so astonished to see how ignorant they often prove to be that I can hardly stand watching what they have to say on TV."
Krauthammer is the exception, who often gets it very right but this time missed the overwhelmingly big picture; these debates have done more to shred the Administration's four year record, and advance Romney's credibility, than any attempt the entire left wing biased media can ever again hope to successfully mischaracterize.
MEGGA DITTOS Taskman/woman !! O'reilly's a fraud !! I was out of the internet loop for years (NOT in jail !!) First heard of Mark Levin through Hannity 3.5 years ago. Sought out, bought and read "Liberty and Tyranny"…..WOW !!! 2.5 years ago a new am talk station started (since out of buisiness) Beck, Rush (been on for years/now back on another station) Local hack 3-6, then replays of Hannity and Mark (missed alot due to midnight ending and messed up signal) Fianally back on line last Jan. Mark is ABSOLUTE MUST LISTENING (he's on now). What a wealth of intelligence, knowledge and wisdom !!! NEVER miss him, listen to archied show the next morning if I miss a show !!! Fox is SO disappointing with lack of coverage on some current events AND lack of more TRUEConservatives !!! Anothwer reason O'reilly's a fraud, he hates "extreme rightwing nuts "……F HIM !!!!
What has Bill O'Reilly and Barack Obama have in common? They are both friends of John Stewart. Stewart cannot understand why O'Reilly can actually remain associated with Glenn Beck who he considers an extreme rightwing nut. The real question is why Beck still thinks that O'Reilly is open to reason? Did you ever consider if O'Reilly considers Beck or Stewart more mainstream? Understand that mainstream in today;s world does not equal more formal. The criteria changed significantly.
Most of us represent the same values that 90% of the Country did from inception till the FDR administration. Defined by Bill O'Reilly's criteria they, like todays's conservatives, would also be considered extreme rightwing nuts. So would Washington, Jefferson, Madison (especially), Hamilton, Hancock, Henry and a lot of others that gave these same people that O'Reilly hangs with the ability to be as stupid as they now openly take credit for being.
