Obama is coming for your guns.
Last night a couple of friends stopped over and flatly told me that Obama’s goose is cooked.
One short sentence he caught on the radio (he just now started paying attention to the Presidential race,) set him straight on who to vote for, or in this case, against.
“He’s for banning assault rifles, that’s all I need to know! I heard it on the radio.”
Now, my friend doesn’t fully get what I do, and I respect that, there is a very low tolerance to politics and political information for most people. Just because I love politics is no reason to be in people’s face about it.
One sentence in Tuesday’s debate was enough to send my friend voting Republican, but as the NRA points out, it’s worse than that.
Here is what Obama said on Tuesday night:
But I also share your belief that weapons that were designed for soldiers in war theaters don’t belong on our streets. And so what I’m trying to do is to get a broader conversation about how do we reduce the violence generally. Part of it is seeing if we can get an assault weapons ban reintroduced. But part of it is also looking at other sources of the violence. Because frankly, in my home town of Chicago, there’s an awful lot of violence and they’re not using AK-47s. They’re using cheap hand guns.
Weapons designed for soldiers and military only are already prohibited for sale in this nation. Fully-automatic rifles (machine guns) cannot be purchased or possessed in many states. Obama is conflating fully-automatic rifles with semi-automatic rifles and goes further to include cheap hand guns.
Most hunters understand that when a politician says they want an “assault weapons ban” they want your rifle.
For those of you who do not know the difference between an assault rifle and a fully-automatic rifle, I encourage you to watch this video.
An assault weapons ban is a ban on semi-automatic technology. AK-47s are sold in the United States as semi-automatic.
Those of us who have been watching Obama since before 2008 know full well that he has a prejudice against gun ownership, and the people in Pennsylvania should know better too. After all, Obama believes that Pennsylvanians are racist gun-toting bible-thumpers because there are no manufacturing jobs in your state. He does not understand the American people. He does not even like us.
But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations. –Barack Obama 2008
This President attacks the Constitution, breaking it down, “relieving” the public of the rights they know they possess. With every passing day from now until November, more and more people are hearing his words, and perhaps, for the first time ever, clearly understanding what they mean.
..the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed..

MARK LEVIN: We conservatives, we do not accept bipartisanship in the pursuit of tyranny. Period. We will not negotiate the terms of our economic and political servitude. Period. We will not abandon our child to a dark and bleak future. We will not accept a fate that is alien to the legacy we inherited from every single future generation in this country. We will not accept social engineering by politicians and bureaucrats who treat us like lab rats, rather than self-sufficient human beings. There are those in this country who choose tyranny over liberty. They do not speak for us, 57 million of us who voted against this yesterday, and they do not get to dictate to us under our Constitution.
We are the alternative. We will resist. We're not going to surrender to this. We will not be passive, we will not be compliant in our demise. We're not good losers, you better believe we're sore losers! A good loser is a loser forever. Now I hear we're called 'purists.' Conservatives are called purists. The very people who keep nominating moderates, now call us purists the way the left calls us purists. Yeah, things like liberty, and property rights, individual sovereignty, and the Constitution, and capitalism. We're purists now. And we have to hear this crap from conservatives, or pseudo-conservatives, Republicans.

I don't deny that global warming exists. It does not exist. There is not a pink elephant in my kitchen. I'm not denying it. It is not there. If I denied that there was a pink elephant in my kitchen, it would have to be there, but I would be lying to myself and everyone and walk around it to cook. But it is not there, therefore, I am not denying that it is.

Snyder pushes to extend Medicaid to 470,000 Michiganders -- 'care for people who need it'
Snyder said Wednesday that he unconditionally supports expanding the state's Medicaid rolls by roughly 470,000 people. There are 1.9 million people receiving benefits now.
"We're all here to support expanding Medicaid," Snyder said at a news conference called by a large coalition of groups that support the expansion. "We're moving forward with care for people who need it."
Editorial: Snyder does right and healthy thing by backing Medicaid expansion
The ever-illogical argument that insuring more people will actually cost less. "But health care providers and advocates for the uninsured argue that the state will actually save money -- as much as $1 billion in the first decade -- if fewer residents have to rely on expensive emergency room facilities to address non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries."
Susan J. Demas: Will Tea Party Republicans fight Rick Snyder on expanding Medicaid under Obamacare?
Susan Dumass is really quite pedestrian. "The only thing standing in between 450,000 low-income Michiganders and health insurance is Tea Party Republicans' deep-seated hatred of Obamacare."
Snyder's big budget plan seeks hikes in gas tax, vehicle registration fees, more
In a switch, GOP governors back expanding Medicaid
This week, Michigan’s Rick Snyder became the sixth GOP governor to propose expanding his state’s health insurance program to cover more low-income residents, in line with the Democratic administration’s strong recommendation.
'Obamacare,' distrust of federal government heat up debate over Medicaid expansion in Michigan
Now that he's made the decision, Snyder must sell the plan to the state legislature, where some members of his own party have repeatedly attempted to distance themselves from the faintest whiff of "Obamacare."
- I can find neither solace or comfort in government. I cannot find hope nor light among those pretending to take my best interest to heart. I cannot worship or revere another human being because there are none alive that can instill my faith. Give me the One God; the One Who had created the heavens and earth and had purposefully breathed life into me. The One Who dwells in the secret place and watches over me and always keeps me company when all others abandoned me. But for Him I would have no purpose in this life; thank you Dear God.

PA will be in Mitts corral in the end, no worries. Pa threw out the Dems last election, and they will be doing more of the same in 2012. PTL!
C'mon PA, the few patriots we have left in the Deep Blue state of Merryland are counting on you to go Red this election. Just like your forefathers did in Valley Forge, we need you now!
The future of our nation depends on it!
I believe the reason why republicans voted against the recent cybersecurity bill was because the Democrats attached a rider that banned "high capacity" weapons – obama now wants to enact the bill by executive order.
Not to worry though… Barry doesn't want your guns – he'll have the EPA, FDA, OSHA, ATF, and FBI work to ban ammunition: He'll let people keep their arms.
Thanks for reading!
Including the unregistered guns? We save brass and reload.
The House needs to enact a bill to nullify Executive order. It would be a Bill of Impeachment and without the Creed of Reed left in the Senate maybe we could find a dozen or so impeachable offenses that would once again leave legislation to the first branch of government as prescribed under Article One (1) of our Constitution.
