Happy me:) From the Presque Isle Advance:

To the editor:

Can you think of any other President that could expect to get reelected with unemployment numbers over 8%. Yet President Obama has the media in his back pocket, telling us all how great he is for keeping it under 9%, using every mathematical slight-of-hand to produce a percentage point here or there, ad nauseam.

No other president could make you believe that you are part of a class, as if we were in a caste system. As if you are born to poverty, and in poverty you shall remain, no matter how hard you try. We are Americans, able to produce with our own ideas and our own labor. This President puts you in a group, assumes you have no talent or worth, and makes you bitter about the other guy, in another group.

No other president could convince you that your right to free speech is limited by the right of others not to be offended. This President makes you the target because you were mistakenly under the impression he would defend the Constitution when he took the oath of office.

A president can affect the outcome of world challenges, and in the past, most have tried to keep America’s influence at the forefront for American prosperity. This President fancies himself a world equalizer, by bringing us down to the level that is beneath us. Americans who make $34,000 or more are part of the world’s 1% of highest income earners, redistributing that to cause equality will ruin us.

No other president could get away with telling Americans they didn’t build their fortune, big or small. His attitude toward prosperity conditions you to feel incompetent and shameful.

I heard someone say that Obama is at least the “devil that you know,” implying it makes no sense to vote for Romney. But, I don’t believe most people really know what Obama’s intentions are, even though they have knowledge of the past 4 years.

It’s not funny, it’s not a game, and it’s not just another election. This election goes to the heart of whether America will continue its decline, or be put on a path to prosperity. Believe in America.
