Nice post and excellent questions Barry. We do have a few good conservative constitutionalist candidates running for office this year in MI that I am aware of. We need to support them. In particular we have Peter Konetchy primarying Dave Camp in the 4th district. Dave has been in office way to long and fallen into coots with the establishment GOP. For instance, he recently sponsored the bill to put Obama's secret trade agreements on Fast Track status — That's kind of like the Polosi bill for trade agreements, they would need to pass them to see what is in them. We need to get rid of folks like this. And btw. please make sure every conservative and libertarian you know runs for county delegate in the republican party.
Another thing we need to do is to educate everyone we know. Wake up those who think they can be apolitical. Teach other people what is bad about communism and what philosophy the democrats are really espousing today, and why big government is bad etc. These are hard tasks. Most people do want to avoid confrontation and thus eschew any political discussion. We need to determine ways to go about this that work the best. Really spend time on the social psychology of it like the left does. I would love to set up a mastermind group to explore the best ways to go about these things.
