May 5 Ballot Proposal in Michigan – Know It, Defeat It.

Michigan government has gotten so big and bloated, it cannot even perform basibig-governmentc functions anymore.

Since the Michigan government cannot figure out how to perform basic duties, like keep our roads safe, they are asking you to increase our sales tax to higher than that of California.

Lucrative future deals for construction companies have made it a good idea for them to invest in bleeding heart commercials about a poor mom just looking for safe roads for her family, however, everybody knows many roads will not be saved under this scheme, and some perfectly good roads will be torn up because some crooked politician wants his cronies paid off.

Though inflation nationally is never calculated on fuel and food, the State of Michigan’s dominating Republican Party wants you to pay more in fuel taxes every year, when inflation is bound to go through the roof from the out-of-control deficit spending of the national administration.

Teacher’s unions, the top-heavy money grubbers who value their 6 and 7 digit salaries rather than the future of our children, whined when some of their revenue would be disrupted when Snyder wanted to change the tax structure of gasoline and diesel.  So lawmakers added not only another tax to benefit the MEA, but also are looping in all our community colleges in a scheme that will lower children’s IQ’s and fatten the wallets of the union pigs.

The Michigan poor who wish to comply with the law, will find it more difficult to pay ever-increasing and systematically unfair registration fees, but lawmakers think that increasing a subsidy for staying poor will help them with that.

No word yet on how the over-bureaucratized Michigan government figures the middle class will get by with such a burden squeeze from the top and bottom.

Via, here is the exact wording of the proposed increase in taxes and government in Michigan, known as Proposal 1 which you will be asked to approve or disapprove on May 5th, 2015.

PROPOSAL 15-1

A proposal to amend the State Constitution to increase the sales/use tax from 6%
to 7% to replace and supplement reduced revenue to the School Aid Fund and local units of government caused by the elimination of the sales/use tax on gasoline and diesel fuel for vehicles operating on public roads, and to give effect to laws that provide additional money for roads and other transportation purposes by increasing the gas tax and vehicle registration fees.

The proposed constitutional amendment would:

  • Eliminate sales / use taxes on gasoline / diesel fuel for vehicles on public roads.

  • Increase portion of use tax dedicated to School Aid Fund (SAF).

  • Expand use of SAF to community colleges and career / technical education, and

  • prohibit use for 4-year colleges / universities.

  • Give effect to laws, including those that:

  • Increase sales / use tax to 7%, as authorized by constitutional amendment.
  • Increase gasoline / diesel fuel tax and adjust annually for inflation,
  • increase vehicle registration fees, and dedicate revenue for roads and other transportation purposes.
  • Expand competitive bidding and warranties for road projects.
  • Increase earned income tax credit.

Should this proposal be adopted?

YES [ ]
Hell NO [X]

Let’s see, increase, expand, increase, increase, increase, expand and increase.  This government has to cut down.

This proposal will change our Michigan constitution to include more taxation for a basic function.

The Michigan House has recently voted 58-51 to end film incentives. That’s a good start, and they should be looking for other savings.

MICHIGAN REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS SHOULD STOP ASKING MICHIGANDERS TO TAKE A PAY CUT!  KEEP YOUR HANDS IN YOUR OWN POCKETS!

If Michigan legislators want us to pay for roads, stop doing this combination platter crap, and get it done.  Mark me as an emphatic hell no for this insipid proposal.

Breaking Down the Michigan Ballot Proposals

If you do not have time to do your homework on these, I have laid my opinion of what I believe, as a Michigan Taxpayer, businesswoman, parent and conservative.

Prop 1 Yes— Emergency Managers are needed in Michigan after officials ruined the fiscal soundness of major cities.
Prop 2 No— Taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize public union greed, which represent the basis of why emergency managers have been utilized.
Prop 3 No— Ridiculous and insulting proposal by green corporations, trying to create an energy crisis.
Prop 4 No— Absolutely outrageous RINO and Liberal policy to force unionization upon those who care for their handicapped family members.
Prop 5 Yes— Raising taxes in our state should take a 2/3 majority in both the House and Senate. Enough said.
Prop 6 Yes— Absolutely. We must stop our RINO Governor from ignoring the checks to his power. Put the bridge to a vote.

The are about fiscal sanity in Michigan, forcing the 3% of those working for unions to not be able to bankrupt municipalities, stopping greedy green corporations from creating a Michigan Energy Crisis, stopping stealth unionization, making it tougher to raise our taxes, as well as checking the power of our rogue Governor. Every one of them is important, and it is important that we vote on every one.

Proposals 1, 2 and 4 are directly related because of the greed of unions and the power they wield. I am not against unions, I am against public unions from bankrupting cities forcing us to decide if they need emergency managers. It is my opinion that Governor Snyder could have been courageous like Governor Walker was with this issue, but since he wasn’t, it is to put to a vote. Should it be be inserted IN OUR CONSTITUTION that unions in Michigan continue to pilfer from the taxpayers? Not only are Proposals 2 and 4 offensive to those 97% of people in Michigan who do not belong to unions, the language in Proposal 2 prohibits Michigan from becoming a Right To Work State.

Proposal 3 basically is a condescending snub to your intelligence. It forces your utility company to offer 25% of electricity in renewables. Not only will they have to buy more electricity out of state, green initiatives cost a lot of money for little progress. Prop 3 isn’t just a no, it’s a Hell No.

Proposal 5 is self-explanatory. Do you want it to be easier or harder for Lansing to raise your taxes? Harder right? Vote Yes.

A Yes vote on Proposal 6 checks the power of the Governor by We The People. He has acted as a tyrant in regards to the International Bridge project, and must be slapped down in this vote.

I recently attended a presentation by Michael LaFaive of the , sponsored by the Cheboygan Tea Party. An excellent explanation of sound fiscal policy and warnings of the encroachment upon our civil liberties and loss of personal freedoms was given, and I’d like to thank the Mack Center, Michael LaFaive, and Stephenie from the Cheboygan Tea Party.

The following is a little blurb I asked Stephenie to put together to describe her great group. The presentation I attended was attended by 87 people, and the Mack Center is going all over the state giving these presentations.

Our tea party is nonpartisan. We do not endorse candidates, rather we focus on our three core values of constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets. We try to follow the votes of our elected officials in these 3 areas and hold them accountable for their actions. We are focused on educating ourselves about our founding principles and our constitution. We also try through our functions, letters to the editor, and interactions with elected officials to defend principles of liberty wherever possible. I think that many people have forgotten what made America the greatest nation ever. It is up to us to remind them and show them all a free people can accomplish for themselves. We are growing and adding new members all the time. We are not going away. It’s probably enough to make Nancy Pelosi (or John Boehner) cry. 😉

Ha! Thank God for the Tea Party people.

Welcome to the Freakshow

The party-of-no-class throws a party with no class.

A couple of months ago I was checking out liberal/feminist websites and came upon a theme. It seems feminists think that people don’t talk enough about the vagina.

One site had a widget on the side that asked the question, “Have you praised your vagina today?” Another blogger ended a post with the sentence, “Oh, and how I do love my vagina!”

This is freakshow stuff.

Now that Lisa Brown insists that the Republican men in Michigan’s GOP want something to do with her vagina, the Democrat party has to confirm everyone’s suspicion that the Michigan Democrat Party has become a party of no privacy.

The playwright Eve Ensler is flying in for the event from California, “and we have more and more actresses calling to fill out the cast,” Milarch said Friday night. Staging the play seemed like the perfect response to conservative men silencing women for speaking in direct terms about body parts — specifically for saying the word vagina, she said.

“This word being deemed inappropriate to be said on the House floor is creating a stir. We want to get people thinking about it,” Milarch said.

Rep. Lisa Brown, D-West Bloomfield, said she plans to join in the play’s reading 6-8 p.m. Monday.

You guessed right! The Vagina Monologues are coming to Lansing to stand in support of oppressed vaginas everywhere!

Isn’t it ironic that the “right to privacy” that the Supreme Court found in the emanations of penumbras of the Constitution in order to legalize abortion, is now being stood, literally, on its head, so we can all peer into the depths, and get those private parts a good flashy exhibition!

If you are a Democrat woman, you must agree that you are uncomfortable fighting for making abortion rare, but are completely comfortable with everyone focusing on your vagina.

When normal people say they don’t wish to talk about your vagina, feminist Democrat stupid women scream, “OPPRESSORS!”

Yes, they want to kill what’s in the womb, and take you on a tour of the pathway in.

I always thought that being a woman isn’t just represented by the proper genitalia, but the proper maturity and wisdom. There is no wisdom in the Democrat Party, and the women especially are seriously deficient of class.

Lansing Moves To Eliminate EITC

As part of the cutting and slashing that was promised during the campaigns of last year,

But the leader of the Democrats in the Senate says that is tantamount to raising taxes on the State’s working poor.

But they don’t pay taxes.

The whole idea of the EITC is, that if you don’t make enough to pay taxes, the state pays you.

If the state doesn’t pay you, you still don’t pay taxes.

Gretchen Whitmer ain’t the brightest bulb.
