Rove Myth Debunked | Jen Kuznicki

rove aimlessMYTH: Karl Rove is on our side.

Whenever someone on the right criticizes Karl Rove, there is an inevitable busybody who will say, “Stop attacking people who are on our side.”  However, Rove is not on our side, and as chair of the wildly popular Committee to Publicly Horsewhip Karl Rove, it is my honor to point it out to you.

Rove was a guest on Fox News Sunday yesterday, to defend his argument that Hillary Clinton’s health and age might be a problem in 2016.  I don’t need to go over it, parse it, or create a study of it.  All you need to know is, that his ego could not keep him from changing the talking points from substantive issues to a silly media frenzy with him at the center.

Before Rove hit the news with his “brain damage” crusade, we were talking about how Hillary Clinton failed as Secretary of State to classify Boko Haram as a terrorist group.  Before Rove inserted himself into the news, we were talking about how the mother of one of the four Benghazi dead blamed Hillary personally for the death of her boy, and organized protests kept Hillary from speaking in San Diego.

Now, you defenders of Rove, tell me, what carries weight?  Is Hillary walking around today with obvious mental incapacity?  Is she losing her place in the speeches she’s been giving to make outrageous sums of money after botching the Secretary of State gig? No?  Then what possible reason could there be to change the conversation and focus, other than to stroke Rove’s ego?

Rove defenders want to believe that Rove is acting in good faith, but how is attacking a woman personally going to help the Republican Party if she runs in 2016, while the Republican Party is having a tough time getting women to vote for them?

Juan Williams was right during the panel discussion yesterday, that Rove could be generating sympathy for Clinton.  Yes, he is, and he’s not helping our side, because he is interested in being the center of attention, and that’s all.

Rove’s existence in politics seems to be for the purpose of cheapening and dumbing down the political argument, and that is in line with his view of regular voters.  He believes we are stupid, and wants the Republican Party to not necessarily “win the argument.”  It is the equivalent of throwing enough mud on the wall to see what will stick, and he wants desperately to control the narrative.  But his offerings are only mud, nothing of substance, and he not only generates sympathy for a huge Republican foe, he keeps us from gaining momentum on real issues we really care about that should concern everyone about Hillary Clinton.

Love your article on Rove. You are right. That said, I have a theory regarding the brain damage comment by Rove. You will remember when Hiliary testified at the Committee on Benghazi last year it was rumored that she suffered some type of brain injury that may contribute to memory loss. I have a vague suspicion that Rove and others want to actually save her from humiliation when the horrible truth comes out about Benghazi, i.e., she did nothing to help these poor Americans. They will claim that she just cannot remember and she was not up to the job because of illness.

The article is right on I regards to Karl Rove … He needs to go away!!!

  3. Sonya Blade says:

Yup. I'm a tried and true conservative..and when I posted on another article that Rove was a RINO in CAPS..I quickly got shot down by a fellow conservative. Doesn't stop me though. I saw the damage he caused in the 2008 election and again in 2012. Maybe when the Dems are in power for another 20 years those on the right will GET A FREAKIN' CLUE HE'S NOT ON OUR SIDE!!!!! Just watch 'ole Rove BRISTLE at the name Ted Cruz. Go ahead..I dare you.

  4. OldmanRick says:

Does a brick have a PHD? Is ignorance, stupidity, and blind, bootlicking loyalty rewarded among the establishment, old boys club, go along to get along, don't make a wave part of the rino crowd? If either is true, Rove is a shining light among the bottom feeding parasites who strive to maintain the status quo within the party and the asininity within spin city east, home to the thought police.

  5. TigerstripesRVN says:

    Rove is a traitorous POS.

    Its Jello!

  7. JKuriako says:

I've never understood the infatuation with Rove. Because of him Bush lost the popular vote or whatever second time around, not to mention listened to his stupidity. His killing Christine O'Donnell's chances of taking the Biden senate seat was the real last straw for me before then I didn't really pay attention to him he was just there now though I will make certain to *NEVER* give a single thin dime to anyone he is for.

  8. Norman Cates says:

Rove is not to be trusted! His loud and persistant claims that Mitt Romney would win in a landslide (along with Dick Morris) caused many people to stay home on elecction day. Those two also messed up John McCain (although he didn't need any help) by pushing to have Sarah Palin kept off the campaign circuit. In a national campaign little things mean a lot!

  9. Toni Sicilian says:

This thing in the news about Thad Cochran and Mc Daniels….they did the same thing to Ben Sasse. The day before the election, they came up with something that would tarnish his name and not allow anyone time to really check on it! This thing with McDaniels is BS and is a manufactured trumped up charge by the establishment RINOs….this is the same M O as the Sasse accusation! They knew about this guy for 3 weeks but kept it a secret???? Why? Same as Ben Sasse accusation….Nebraska didn't buy it! I hope MS is as smart!

  10. drjohn says:

Rove should not have backed down. Killary did suffer a brain injury and double vision is a sign of brain damage. Funny how it's not nice to question a woman about anything unless her name is Palin.

'Then what possible reason could there be to change the conversation and focus, other than to stroke Rove’s ego?'

The reason he changed the focus is not his ego. It was simply to hurt the Republicans, probably because Hillary asked him to do it.
