Samuel Adams held the distinct pleasure of being one of only a few Americans exempt from immunity from the King if they agreed to stop their rebellion.  Adams greeted the news with humor, though being singled out like he was, was a testament to his effectiveness in rousing, convincing, and leading people toward the hard fight for Independence.

Samuel Adams was utterly and completely convinced that Americans should be free from Britain, and compared the struggle in America to the Biblical struggle of the Israelites, using that argument time and time again in his many years as a politician.  He was highly regarded as a man with hard focus and was well respected for his oratory, his reasoning and ardor.

This 18″ five-jointed Alaskan Brown Bear has a silken soft fur, and is clothed in a blouse, waistcoat, and jacket in the style of Samuel Adams’ famous portrait done by J.S. Copley.  The blouse is of fine batiste fabric and the waistcoat and jacket are done in maroon wool, with buttons made of metal.  The bear and clothing is entirely hand made my yours truly:)

And maybe it’s just me, but he’s awful darn cute, too!
